Christmas fairytales

Honestly, I didn't get much done at all this break, I feel sort of bad about it but everyone says that's it's good to take a break.

This was the first thing I painted during the break. This and the one below was painted with black, Phthalo. blue, white and silver.

This was inspired by Joshua Suda, and a good reason to do a portrait with something a bit different.And of course I have to choose a picture where I had to make up the jawline but oh well. I still like it.

Bunnies. Everywhere.

This will probably be the last post that I make before school starts. So we'll see how well I keep up with this blog. I'm not sure if I'll post my school projects on here; probably not.

I like playing with color A LOT. I also have a love/hate relationship with that girl... specifically her lip. I had to paint over them at least 20 times and they're still not right.

Playing catch up

I'm going to fill you in on the art that I've been doing since the beginning of summer.
Starting with my lovely sketchbook.

A serious painting study using only gesso, royal blue acrylic and dark brown acrylic.

A little fun has to be added with the help of the little mermaid, a narwhal and a sea monster.

- Oh I'm just an aspiring young artist who is living in the grizzly city of Memphis, slaving over acyrlics and hot oil paints all day.

" Cool, an artist; this is an art blog I presume."
- Why yes it is my good fellow.

" Are you a crazy cat man or lady?"
- I suppose I would qualify as a crazy cat lady without any cats.

"What do you do for a living?"
- I'm currently an art student majoring in Painting with a minor in art history.

"Can you draw me something?"
